Logo design for Jacktar Films, a film production company. This design was inspired by cartoons from Punch, a British humor magazine from the mid-1800s. These cartoons satirized the trend among Victorian women of wearing clothing and jewelry inspired by insects, speaking to the cultural fascination with natural history during that era. In our design, we reclaim this imagery as a celebration of craft and queer protest.
